They excelled in three key areas, each of which is critical to a customer looking for high quality and cost-effective results. 1) Expertise. Luis understands the value of drought-tolerant succulents in our environment, as well as other flowers and fruited trees. This insight helps him collaborate with the customer to develop a landscaped aesthetic that is in keeping with the customer's vision, but also respects the very nature we're working with. It's a holistic view that comes with education, intelligence and sensitivity to the customer's home surroundings. 2) Communications. Luis manages the project in a educated, bilingual way that ensures all of the customer's needs are met while providing specific instructions to the crew (which is also bilingual). He stays on top of things and is responsive, providing a constant channel of email connection while providing visuals that allow the customer to model, and further shape, their own particular vision. Staying on schedule is crucial to avoiding cost overruns; communications in arrival/departure times, as well as transparency in the tasks that would be executed, were vital in keeping our project on track and within budget. 3) Cost effective. Conscientious Landscapers provides the best possible retail price on materials and plants, while incorporating fair labor costs for the work required. Have Luis develop a scope of work and keep him focused on staying within that scope, and CL won't disappoint. The minor risk is the team's enthusiasm in creating additional ideas to produce the best possible outcome (this is also welcomed!). The upshot: Luis is not only willing -- but wants -- to sit down and work closely with his client in creating a beautiful landscaped environment, like he did for us. We contacted Luis and his team a few weeks back. We had been using a gardening service that was not getting the job done and our yard was dying. We have one simple rule. "Make the landscape look good and maintain it." Luis and his team took the time to look over the landscaping and offer up helpful suggestions for watering, types of plants and maintaining it. Becuase of his work, our garden is now getting back to looking the way it should. I would definitely recommend his services to anyone who wants more than just mow, blow and go!
